St. Augustine Wedding Planner
5th Street St. Augustine Beach
Christoper and Janessa exchanged their marriage vows on the white sands of St. Augustine Beach. The couple joined us from the great state if Indiana. Having a local wedding planner can help in so many ways when planning a destination wedding. Trying to secure individual vendors from afar and manage them can be daunting task. As our company has grown over the past 12 years, we have continued to offer more services to our clients. For example, we are a one-stop shop for wedding planning, wedding coordination, decorations, photography, floral design, bouquets, rentals, reception services, DJ services, and more. Being able to offer all of these services gives us direct control over the quality. Finally, we have an advantage of strong internal communication that really helps make the day of run smoothly and without issue.
Janessa and Christopher worked with their wedding planner, Vicky, to decorate their beach wedding. As a result, the couples decorations were fantastic. They selected our birch arbor, giving the wedding a rustic and earthy vibe. Rather than using all of the petals on the ground, we retained some for the guests to toss. Due to this, we were able to capture the image above during the couples first kiss.
We only use professional grade photographers included in our wedding packages. For that reason, we offer a tremendous value to our clients looking for bundled services. The blog today is showcasing all black and white images. Black and white photography lends certain strengths to an image. Therefore, we like to include some in every client’s gallery. Color can be great, however, it can also be distracting. You also see emotion and lighting differently in Black and White. Finally, images without color are considered by most classic and timeless.

Amelia Island Beach Weddings
Main Beach Park
Dominique and Trey “tide the knot” on 8/18/18 on main beach, Amelia Island. With Amelia Island just over the state line, it’s a logistically ideal location for Georgia residents. As a result, this made it easy for the couple and their 40 closest friends and family to share this special occasion. Georgia residents also commonly select Jekyll Island as their ceremony site of choice.
A great wedding will always have beautiful flowers. Dominique’s bouquet selection consisted of some of our favorite floral. Succulents, wax flower, billy balls, and mums were some of the main focal floral of this cascading bouquet. Yellow is a “pop” color on the beach, as it vibrantly contrasts with the very neutral natural palette.
The couple selected our Nautical Knot and made some upgrades with the arbor type and floral. It provides all the basics for a simple beach wedding. The photography, officiant, bridal bouquet, arbor, and chairs are included in this package configuration. Music and other additions are easily added to fit a couples desires. As a result, our Nautical Knot package is one of our most popular choices for smaller weddings.
If you are looking to have an Amelia Island Beach Wedding, there are great ceremony and reception sites to explore. For our events, the most common choices are the Omni at Amelia Island Plantation, Sliders Seaside Grill, The Ocean Club of Amelia, Elizabeth Pointe Lodge, and Main Beach. The Sandbar, at main beach, is also a consideration for our couples looking for a casual reception space after.

Surprise Vow Renewal
Husband of the year, Joseph Bono, raked in all the points by planning a surprise vow renewal on his 10 year wedding anniversary.
Joseph and Brooke have 3 children and share a birthday. They chose to be married on the same date as their birthday, May 26th. 2018 marked 10 years of marriage, and Joseph wasn’t about to let this milestone pass without reminding Brooke of his eternal love and commitment to her.
After working with our planners to choose the perfect location, vows, and bouquet for his bride, the time had come. Sun and Sea suggested Guana State park as a beautiful setting to capture this intimate moment. The simplicity of the evening was played up by the natural beauty of this outdoor venue.
Joseph and Brooke arrived in a limousine. They walked hand and hand onto the sand where they were met by our officiant, who greeted Brooke with a beautiful bouquet of ivory roses. The couple was then guided to a heart carved into the sand, and filled with rose petals. Standing in “Barefoot Blooms” they joined hands.
Every moment from beginning to end was captured by one of our talented Sun and Sea photographers. A customized ceremony arranged, and personalized vows spoken in front of the beautiful back drop of the vast ocean at dusk. Immediately following, the couple walked to the water’s edge to throw a blessing stone and make a wish.
After the ceremony, Joseph and Brooke stayed a bit longer for more pictures. But it wasn’t long before they were ready to be whisked off to their next destination and continue their celebration.
We at Sun and Sea loved being a part of making this romantic evening come to life!

A Wedding Planned From Across the World
From across the globe, James and Stephanie planned their entire wedding with the help of Sun and Sea’s world class wedding planners. With a window built and designed with an inspiringly royal view of the Castle Otttis, making any bride feel like a princess. The master room adjoins to an exquisite bridal vanity, especially arranged for the bride and her best girls.
James and Stephanie chose to commit their vows in the courtyard of CastleGate. The couple said “I do” in front of Sun and Sea’s Charmingly Vintage 2 post birch arbor, with upgraded side swags including ivory gauze and fresh florals accented with blush, cranberry, and ivory florals. The bridesmaid’s carried bouquets of ivory roses bedded in organic eucalypti, while the stunning Stephanie carried a bouquet centered around exotic King Protea flowers.

River to Sea Preserve
St. Augustine Beach Weddings
Tucked just south of St. Augustine, and near the Matanzas Inlet, lies River to Sea Preserve. This beach access is one of our team’s favorite locations for a coastal ceremony. Most couples are looking for a location that offers a combination of natural’s beautiful scenery and privacy. A beach wedding at River to Sea Preserve will offer those exact perks. With the beach being further south of St. Augustine, this area gets less traffic than the main beaches up North. The lack of buildings keep the greenery and dunes intact, making lovely backdrops for the photography. One of the most unique characteristics of this beach location is the rock formations. The various rocky areas along the beach provide diversity in the wedding photography. This really is one of the more picturesque beaches we visit.
This area also offers to great options for Receptions. The Whitney Lab sits is an indoor/outdoor options that is just right across the street. The Pavilion at River to Sea is also a great choice for couples looking to keep a simple outdoor feel to their receptions.
We recently married Harli and Sean, and helped guide them to this particular location for their special day. Wanting a St. Augustine Beach Wedding, Harli contacted us for help. Nature’s Amazing Backdrop
Jekyll Island Weddings
The team of Sun and Sea Beach Weddings was happy to marry Chelci Beach and Stephen Avant on April 23rd, 2016. The couple decided on Jekyll Island as their location of choice for the destination wedding. Even though the Hampton Inn does sit on the beach, the courtyard is a stunning choice for a ceremony. The flexibility of being able to have a courtyard wedding or a beach wedding makes the Hampton Inn, Jekyll Island a popular choice among our clients. The oaks and greenery add amazing depth to the photography. For more information on Jekyll Island, click here.
Chelci and Stephen decided to hold the ceremony in the courtyard and by looking at the photos, I think they made the ideal choice. We decorated the courtyard with our rustic worn pedestals with Ivory toppers. This space also goes very well with our birch arbor or our wooden chocolate arbor. If you choose a beach wedding, you can introduce the bamboo as well. You can view more images of this wonderful space under our reception tab by clicking here.
Sun and Sea proudly marries over 300 couples across Northeast Florida and Southern Georgia. Let our team of planners, designers, photographers, and coordinators assist you on your upcoming Jekyll Island Wedding.
Congratulations to our couple Mike and Melissa Lehman. They were recently married on St. Augustine Beach.
St. Augustine is our most popular choice for a destination wedding for so many great reasons. From the white sand beaches, to the culturally rich historic district, St. Augustine has much to offer. When planning your destination wedding to Florida, you want to consider the overall activities the area will offer you and your guests. If guests are traveling from out of town, you want to make sure to select a location that is unique. St. Augustine’s rich history and popular downtown can provide many activities for your travel. Bars, restaurants, shops, and historic sites all are packed in a beautiful downtown area that offers European architecture and waterfront views..
Melissa and Mike chose to have their wedding in St. Augustine for the above reasons. Their family and friends traveled to Florida from Kansas City and many other locations around the United States. To really capture the essence of a St. Augustine Wedding, they selected the St. Augustine Yacht Club as their reception choice. This venue sits directly in front of the historic Lighthouse. It also offers amazing views of the salt flat waterway coming in from the Atlantic. Pelicans and Sail boats are common sights while having a drink on the deck or lawn. The St. Augustine Yacht Club offers both indoor and outdoor space. You can view more information and photos by clicking the link above.
Newlyweds Kelly and Jose Espinosa were married this past Saturday at the Omni Amelia Island
Plantation Resort. The Omni is on a beautiful property of lush greenery. The resort’s beach is private and secluded, which created an intimate environment for the ceremony and reception. The Espinosa’s chose the Falling into Forever package. Their four post bamboo arbor was covered with white organza that shimmered in the afternoon sun, and they chose a long centerpiece with white garden roses, white hydrangeas, white wisteria, and greenery that covered the front of the arbor.
The twenty guests that attended were asked to sit as the ceremony began and Kelly’s bridesmaids walked down the aisle with bouquets of eggplant calla lilies and live guitarist, Terry, softly played music in the background. As Kelly began to walk towards the ceremony space, everyone stood and admired how beautiful she looked in a flowing white gown with a fitted top. The ceremony began and Kelly and Jose said their vows and did a sand ceremony combining different colored sands to symbolize the joining of two people. When the ceremony ended, Kelly and Jose began taking their pictures with one of Sun and Sea’s photographers, Nick. The small dunes of the beach and expansive shores provided the perfect backdrop for stunning photos.
As photos were being taken, guests gathered under the 20X40 tent to enjoy lemonade and tea as well as assorted fruits and vegetables. Live music continued during the reception and Kelly and Jose joined their party once they finished taking photos. The sun began to set as the party ended and people left the beach to return to the Omni to enjoy dinner. The Sun and Sea team wishes the best for Kelly and Jose and were overjoyed to help them plan their special day.
