About Nick

I was raised in the St. Augustine area, and I can say, being a natural born Floridian is a rare thing! I graduated from the University of Florida, Go Gators, with my bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing. I spent the first part of my career as a sales manager, trainer, and public speaker. I now have the pleasure of joining people on one of the most special days of their lives. Even though I have always had my hand in the family business, I took over as leader a few years ago. It has been such an amazing ride. We run a tight knit group of family and friends that are all professionals. Being able to make people smile is very rewarding and it’s all smiles here at Sun and Sea Beach Weddings.

Geometric Arbors

Sun and Sea’s New Geometric Arbors

Geometric Arbors have become a very popular design choice for weddings and events.  Sun and Sea offers our new circular arbor and triangular arbor to assist couples in capturing this clean and modern look.  We offer both arbors in white and dark wood finish to give variety in the selection process.

Geometric arbors give an alternative to the more tradition bamboo arbors seen at many beach weddings.  These arbors offer a more modern style for couples that might want an updated look.

Geometric Arbors for Beach Weddings in Florida

The circular arbor has been our most popular arbor since we launched it earlier this year.  We offer this arbor in a white finish and a dark natural wood finish,  The white version fits great for a more tropical or coastal feel.  The circular arbor has lots of historic meaning to it.  In early China moon gates were found in gardens and brought strong spiritual and positive energy.  Circles also have held great meaning with infinity and everlasting love.

Our Triangular arbor also comes in both finishes and has a variety of styles you can incorporate.  Boho, Rustic, Coastal, and Tropical are 4 distinct looks you can select from when looking at this arbor and decor option,  The triangular arbor is the most modern of our arbors.

No matter which arbor or look you are after – the planners and designers at Sun and Sea Beach Weddings will be able to assist.  Contact us today in order to explore your future wedding options with the team.  We perform weddings along the Florida and Georgia Coast Lines.

Couple pick River to Sea Preserve for their Florida beach wedding

River to Sea / Washington Oaks

Florida Beach Weddings and Coastal Events

Michelle and Nicholas selected River to Sea Preserve as their location to elope. It was just the two of them in a private ceremony on a pristine beach outside of St. Augustine. Clients call us all the time asking if we do elopements. The answer is yes! We perform a large amount of couple only weddings throughout a wedding season.

One of the special aspects of this wedding was the decision to do additional photography at Washington Oaks State Park. Washington Oaks provides a dramatically different landscape to the beach. Wedding photography last forever and spending the extra time creating a diverse gallery can be well worth the effort in the long run.

This couple also selected to add on our new circular arch. This arbor, not only is very symbolic, created a beautiful back drop to any ceremony. A wedding is never to small for an amazing arbor. Take a look at the happy couples sneak peek images below. The staff of Sun and Sea Beach Weddings wished them all the happiness in the future.

Please contact us with any questions regarding our services. Our staff of dedicated wedding planners is ready and waiting to make your beach elopement a reality.

Chris and Janessa: St. Augustine Wedding

St. Augustine Wedding Planner

5th Street St. Augustine Beach

Christoper and Janessa exchanged their marriage vows on the white sands of St. Augustine Beach.  The couple joined us from the great state if Indiana.  Having a local wedding planner can help in so many ways when planning a destination wedding.  Trying to secure individual vendors from afar and manage them can be daunting task.  As our company has grown over the past 12 years, we have continued to offer more services to our clients.  For example, we are a one-stop shop for wedding planning, wedding coordination, decorations, photography, floral design, bouquets, rentals, reception services, DJ services, and more.  Being able to offer all of these services gives us direct control over the quality.  Finally, we have an advantage of strong internal communication that really helps make the day of run smoothly and without issue.

St. Augustine Wedding PlannerJanessa and Christopher worked with their wedding planner, Vicky, to decorate their beach wedding.  As a result, the couples decorations were fantastic.  They selected our birch arbor, giving the wedding a rustic and earthy vibe.  Rather than using all of the petals on the ground, we retained some for the guests to toss.  Due to this, we were able to capture the image above during the couples first kiss.

Beautiful Photography

We only use professional grade photographers included in our wedding packages.  For that reason, we offer a tremendous value to our clients looking for bundled services.  The blog today is showcasing all black and white images.  Black and white photography lends certain strengths to an image.  Therefore, we like to include some in every client’s gallery.  Color can be great, however, it can also be distracting.  You also see emotion and lighting differently in Black and White.  Finally, images without color are considered by most classic and timeless.

Dominique and Trey: Amelia Island

Amelia Island Beach Weddings

Main Beach Park

Dominique and Trey “tide the knot” on 8/18/18 on main beach, Amelia Island.  With Amelia Island just over the state line, it’s a logistically ideal location for Georgia residents.  As a result, this made it easy for the couple and their 40 closest friends and family to share this special occasion.  Georgia residents also commonly select Jekyll Island as their ceremony site of choice.

A great wedding will always have beautiful flowers.  Dominique’s bouquet selection consisted of some of our favorite floral.  Succulents, wax flower, billy balls, and mums were some of the main focal floral of this cascading bouquet.  Yellow is a “pop” color on the beach, as it vibrantly contrasts with the very neutral natural palette.

Amelia Island Beach Weddings

The couple selected our Nautical Knot and made some upgrades with the arbor type and floral.  It provides all the basics for a simple beach wedding.  The photography, officiant, bridal bouquet, arbor, and chairs are included in this package configuration.  Music and other additions are easily added to fit a couples desires. As a result, our Nautical Knot package is one of our most popular choices for smaller weddings.

If you are looking to have an Amelia Island Beach Wedding, there are great ceremony and reception sites to explore.  For our events, the most common choices are the Omni at Amelia Island Plantation, Sliders Seaside Grill, The Ocean Club of Amelia, Elizabeth Pointe Lodge, and Main Beach.  The Sandbar, at main beach, is also a consideration for our couples looking for a casual reception space after.

Amelia Island Beach Weddings are Romantic

Finally, the team of Sun and Sea Beach Weddings is always available to assist you on your special day.  If you are looking for more information or have any questions, please feel free to give us a call regarding your upcoming Amelia Island Beach Wedding.

Florida Vow Renewals

Surprise Vow Renewal

Surprise Vow Renewal

Vilano Beach

Husband of the year, Joseph Bono, raked in all the points by planning a surprise vow renewal on his 10 year wedding anniversary.

Joseph and Brooke have 3 children and share a birthday. They chose to be married on the same date as their birthday, May 26th. 2018 marked 10 years of marriage, and Joseph wasn’t about to let this milestone pass without reminding Brooke of his eternal love and commitment to her.

After working with our planners to choose the perfect location, vows, and bouquet for his bride, the time had come. Sun and Sea suggested Guana State park as a beautiful setting to capture this intimate moment. The simplicity of the evening was played up by the natural beauty of this outdoor venue.

Joseph and Brooke arrived in a limousine. They walked hand and hand onto the sand where they were met by our officiant, who greeted Brooke with a beautiful bouquet of ivory roses. The couple was then guided to a heart carved into the sand, and filled with rose petals. Standing in “Barefoot Blooms”   they joined hands.

Every moment from beginning to end was captured by one of our talented Sun and Sea photographers. A customized ceremony arranged, and personalized vows spoken in front of the beautiful back drop of the vast ocean at dusk. Immediately following, the couple walked to the water’s edge to throw a blessing stone and make a wish.

After the ceremony, Joseph and Brooke stayed a bit longer for more pictures. But it wasn’t long before they were ready to be whisked off to their next destination and continue their celebration.

We at Sun and Sea loved being a part of making this romantic evening come to life!

James and Stephanie chose to commit their vows in the courtyard of CastleGate. The couple said “I do” in front of Sun and Sea’s Charmingly Vintage 2 post birch arbor, with upgraded side swags including ivory gauze and fresh florals accented with blush, cranberry, and ivory florals. The bridesmaid’s carried bouquets of ivory roses bedded in organic eucalypti, while the stunning Stephanie carried a bouquet centered around exotic King Protea flowers.

To complete the perfect day with a fairytale ending, James and Stephanie celebrated with friends and family inside the Carriage House behind CastleGate. The space thoughtfully decorated to compliment the colors and ambiance of the antique meets modern theme of the evening. The collaboration of a couple with incredible vision, and the expertise of Sun and Sea Beach Weddings, this wedding was one we will never forget.

River to Sea Preserve

St. Augustine Beach Weddings

Tucked just south of St. Augustine, and near the Matanzas Inlet, lies River to Sea Preserve.  This beach access is one of our team’s favorite locations for a coastal ceremony.  Most couples are looking for a location that offers a combination of natural’s beautiful scenery and privacy.  A beach wedding at River to Sea Preserve will offer those exact perks.  With the beach being further south of St. Augustine, this area gets less traffic than the main beaches up North.  The lack of buildings keep the greenery and dunes intact, making lovely backdrops for the photography.  One of the most unique characteristics of this beach location is the rock formations.  The various rocky areas along the beach provide diversity in the wedding photography.  This really is one of the more picturesque beaches we visit.

This area also offers to great options for Receptions.  The Whitney Lab sits is an indoor/outdoor options that is just right across the street.  The Pavilion at River to Sea is also a great choice for couples looking to keep a simple outdoor feel to their receptions.

We recently married Harli and Sean, and helped guide them to this particular location for their special day.  Wanting a memorable beach wedding in St. Augustine, Harli contacted us for help.  The couple selected our Nautical Knot package for their small and romantic ceremony.  The sunset for their wedding was beautiful and the lighting added the soft touch to such a beautiful beach.

The Staff of Sun and Sea Beach Weddings is ready to assist you on your special day.  Our team of designers, coordinators, and planners plan over 340 weddings per year along our coast.  With over 10 years of experience we offer peace of mind to our clients, making sure their day is stunning and stress-free.  Please contact us for more information or view our build your own wedding tool to better understand the services we provide.

Georgia Beach Weddings

Southern Charm and Sophistication:

The Golden Isles of Georgia have become one of Sun and Sea’s top wedding destinations.  Whether you are looking at Jekyll Island or St. Simons, Georgia beach weddings can create the romantic and charming feel many of our couples desire.  While St. Simons has historically been more developed than Jekyll Island, Jekyll is catching up with recent additions.  New hotels, restaurants, parks, and market places have popped up over the last few years.  Jekyll Island also offer Driftwood beach, a very popular choice for a ceremony or photography session.

Cecilia and Ted were married at Villa de Suenos in St. Simons.  Their closets friends and family gathered to witness their vow exchange and then celebrated with the couple as they entered into a new chapter in their lives.  Their wedding location was a private residence that sat directly on the coast.  A beautiful and stunning location for a beach wedding and reception.
