Having your beach wedding behind this reception venue is logistically easy.  Jekyll Island is close to the Florida Border and is one of the closest beach options from Atlanta. With your own boardwalk straight down to the beach, this pavilion offers couples the breeze of having your wedding and reception in the same location.  This park is the most maintained, landscaped, and clean park along the coast.  With power, restrooms, and plenty of parking, there’s hardly a reason not to pick this outdoor reception venue as a match to your Jekyll Island beach wedding.

Lodging at its Best

Choosing the Great Dunes Park Pavilion as your reception venue also gives you great choices for your guest lodging.  Within walking distance of the upcoming Westin Jekyll Island and just a mile or so from the Hampton Inn, the pavilion is ideally located on the island.  The Hampton Inn offers transportation services for guests. In addition to being a popular choice of our clients, the staff is the friendliest in the great state of Georgia.

Costs and Regulations

The Jekyll Island Authority runs and rents this reception and event venue.  The rental rate is currently *$850 and a 50% deposit is required by the city to secure your date.  Alcohol is permitted, but glassware is not. We recommend using  Anthony’s or PJ’s as your choice for catering, but you can utilize anyone you wish. Open flames are not allowed, but votive candles are.  Decoration applications are regulated so working with our design team is best as we are familiar with how to decorate within the guidelines of the city.  You can also supply your own alcohol which is a very rare benefit to find on the coast.

Package for 50

$8250 + tax

Sun and Sea is proud to offer an all inclusive wedding and reception package.  The package below is set up to cover all of the needs for both a beach wedding and reception in the courtyard.  You can modify to add or adjust things if needed.  Photography can be extended as well as DJ services.  You can also add additional guests and chairs.

Package for 80

$9850 + tax
