St. Augustine Fort Weddings

Castillo De San Marcos

One of the most unique reasons to visit the Northeast Florida area is for our rich culture and history.  St. Augustine is the oldest city in the nation and offers stunning European architecture that can not be found anywhere else in the state.  If you love history a St. Augustine Fort Wedding might be exactly what you need.

Why should I have a wedding at the St. Augustine Fort?

The local forts were built in the 1600’s by the Spanish and still stand to this day as some of St. Augustine’s most beautiful structures.  If a water front wedding is your wish, but sand is not your first choice, then the fort grounds of both Castillo de San Marcos and Fort Matanzas are perfect choices.

One of the most important aspects of your wedding is photography.  The photography at these locations can be stunning with the various backdrops that the grounds have to offer.

Having a St. Augustine Fort Wedding at the Castillo de San Marcos will make it an absolutely beautiful affair. The lawn behind the fort overlooking the inlet is the designated area for Fort Weddings. There is a permit process for this location, but the Sun and Sea team will assist in securing the venue for you. An hourly ranger fee is also required and depends on the number of guests attending the wedding. Call today to find out more information on having your wedding or event hosted at one of St. Augustine’s historic forts.  There are some restrictions on the type of decoration we can use, but nothing that can’t be worked around.
